Why Sporkette?

Some of you may be wondering why my blog is entitled SPORKETTE. Well, in the late 90’s, we purchased a Web TV for Internet browsing and e-mail. Wonderful piece of equipment . . . with a remote keyboard! So relaxing to lounge in recliner and type on that remote, and see Web sites on the television screen. Too cool! Oh, I had a computer, but ancient and not capable of accessing Internet. Anyway, being my surname is Spork by marriage, what better username than sporkette? Lot nicer sounding than spork, sporker or sporkee, don’t ya think? Yah, me too!

Anyhoo, since then, some folks know me only by the nickname Sporkette.

Spork or Sporkette shows up in some of my published works, such as ‘SporkBinge’ (print and e-book pamphlettes)  and Sporkette Gazette, and Sporkette is one of my pseudonyms. And since I wanted to start blogging again, what better title for my newest blog than Sporkette?

So, now ya know something you may not have known before. Aren’t you thrilled!
