Happy New Year!

“Cash Pile Santa” – my politically inspired Christmas wallpaper – should have been provided to you last month, but I didn’t get around to uploading it for this site.  Maybe you’d still like it for next Christmas  or just to add to your digital product collection of weird and wacky stuff. My original “Obama Santa” is not a good, drawn rendition, especially since no big ears. Heheheh.

“Happy 2010, Taxpayers!” -  is a politically inspired New Year wallpaper, with my original “Obama New Year Baby“. You may notice cash in the pudgy hands. LOL! As of today, I’m using this wallpaper as the background image on the profile page at my favorite social media site.

Both wallpapers are free to download for Non-Commercial Personal Use Only. Just right click on images below to download and save each wallpaper, which I think are both 1024 x 786 or 876 – whatever, they work okay for me on my little 17″ monitor. LOL!.

NINE YEARS

My day started normal:
bathroom time for personal hygiene and beauty;
blinds opened in living room and kitchen;
curtains tied back at sliding glass patio door;
dishwater made to soak few dishes in sink;
fresh food and water for dogs…
Café Vienna for me.

When blinds opened,
five crows glided from one tree to another;
Patience rested on hay, while Tweety ate from the roll,
and Ferris and Fawn stood opposite sides…
sun also warming their backs.

I stepped onto back porch as RP stood,
saddled, while John brushed his mane.
From the distance, I greeted each horse by name.
Circling my legs,
Paddy, Chewy, Dozer, Maggie, Jako and Kiwi
greeted me.

These animals you do not know,
but you would have loved all…
And they, you.

Being Christmas yesterday…today,
mini-lights turned on to light Christmas tree
adorned with garland and ornaments –
some made by your sister and half-brother…and you.
Yes, I still have them…
and yes, I still hang them each year.

At the kitchen island,
I lit a two-toned blue ocean-colored candle…
in your memory.
Blue…your favorite color.
See, I have not forgotten.
Will I ever?
I hope not.

On the white-tile topped kitchen table,
I lit two tealight candles to warm and melt
Banana Bread candle “tarts”.
I watched the flames for a moment
and thought of you…yet, again.

Afterwards, I gathered
cigarette pack, lighter, coffee cup and cell phone,
and headed for the office,

where I am now…
listening to loud rock music
playing on the radio behind me,

while I’m writing this poem,
which probably isn’t really a poem,
but rather…

thoughts and actions…

going on now…

nine years after your loss…

my loss.

The music vibrates my soul, as do you.

In my family, “Turkey Head” is an affectionate term when referring to family members, but if referring to someone else, it could be an opinion expressing someone is a little off-kilter.

Personally, I feel Obama has been off-kilter with some of the decision-making he’s done as President this year. So, to express that opinion artistically, I drew my impression of Obama’s head on a turkey body that has knobby-knee legs and large, turkey-buzzard-like feet. I entitled the Obama caricature – a turkey illustration – as “Turkey Head Obama“. Then I scanned my toon and added color and free text fonts in photo editing software to design “Turkey Head Obama Wallpaper” by Patricia Spork, especially for the Thanksgiving holiday.

I’m currently (as of the date of this posting) using this weird Thanksgiving turkey image as computer desktop wallpaper and as a background image here.

Yup, here I am again, with a couple more free downloads for you. This time, it’s wallpaper and a background image. You know how sometimes I have to state my opinions in an artistic way, right? Okay, that’s what I did here, entitling this series of images as Healthcare Reform Opinion! I wanted a new background at Twitter, so drew a goofy ant making an obscene gesture and gave the critter a static appearance using filters, then added static-looking text. I wound up making desktop wallpaper, too. I can’t tell you how many images were derived from original, but quite a few. I chose these two for my loyal subscribers and visitors to this site. Hope you get a kick out of them and agree with my blatant black and white artistic statement. Heheheheheh. You can use and freely distribute the images for Non-Commercial Personal Use Only. Thanks.

Last week, took one of my funky archived photos of a butterfly dangling from a flower and created digital photo art and used it to make this desktop wallpaper. In original photo, the butterfly had its wings closed, and clung to and hung down from a drooping bloom. The result of the artwork appears to me that the butterfly has now become an upside down, heart-shaped, purple bloom; thus, the name for the work: Butterfly Flower. Although bright on the eyes, the soothing pastel colors please me. You can download the zipped folder by clicking on the thumbnail. License enclosed allows for Non-Commercial Personal Use of the image, so you can share, giveaway and freely distribute the desktop wallpaper.

By the way, re-added some images (free downloads, taken down when redesigned site) to the Patricia Spork site, plus added a 3 items to membership area. Will re-add images until all the old ones are available onsite again. Once they are up, I’ll begin posting some new images there.
